The Government of Madhya Pradesh on March 13, 2024, issued a notification regarding the revision of minimum wage rates, including variable dearness allowance for the workers of the state under the Minimum Wage Act, 1948.
The following has been stated: -
•The minimum wage rates for workers in various scheduled employments of the State have been revised, based on All India Consumer Price Index 311 (January to June 2019) 2001 = 100. It has been approved, which is applicable from April 01, 2024.
•Under the above subject, in the list of scheduled employments numbered 1 to 36, 39 to 55-57 to 66, 68, and 70 to 72, the minimum wage rates in total 67 employments have been appropriated to the Variable Dearness Allowance declared so far.
•The average index for the six months from July to December 2023 has been 400, hence it’s the reason that there has been an increase of (400-386) = 14 average points above the average (386) of the All India Consumer Price Index accepted in the last six months.
•As a result, the rates issued from April 01, 2024, to September 30, 2024, have been given in the document.
