The Ministry of Power (MoP) on March 12, 2024, issued the Electricity (Third Amendment) Rules, 2024, to further amend the Electricity Rules, 2005.
The following has been amended namely: -
• Rule 19 which states “Implementation of Uniform Renewable Energy Tariff for central pool” clause (a) has been substituted in sub-rule (1) namely: -
“The Central Government may, by order form distinct central pools for different categories of Renewable Energy Sources for a period of three years from the date provided in such order.”
This shall come into force on March 12, 2024
