The Government of Madhya Pradesh on March 13, 2024, issued the Wheat Procurement Policy at Support Price in Rabi Marketing Season 2024-2025.
The following has been stated: -
•Average Good Quality (FAQ) for Rabi Marketing Season 2024-25 issued by the Government of India Support price of wheat is Rs. 2275 per quintal has been declared.
•Action for wheat procurement at support price should be taken within the time limit given in the attached Appendix-1.
•Weekly working days of procurement will be as follows: -
i.Wheat procurement work from farmers will be done 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and farmer weighing slips will be issued by 6 pm; Procurement work should be ensured within the prescribed days only.
ii. Those farmers whose produce cannot be weighed from Monday to Friday due to unavoidable reasons, will be weighed on Saturday.
iii. Transportation, storage, reconciliation of accounts, and upgradation/return of rejected stock will be done on Saturday and Sunday.
•Selection of procurement center site: -
Procurement will be done keeping in mind the center site, storage site, PDS storage center, and Decentralized Local Distribution (TPDS) requirements as per Section 12 (2) (g) of the National Food Security Act.
i.Data entry of the procurement center will be done on the portal through DSO login. The geo-location of the procurement center and storage place will be captured in the IT tools prescribed by PMU.
ii. Instructions have been given by the Government of India to classify the centers on the basis of physical and other facilities available at the procurement centers for the procurement of food grains at support prices.
