The Government of Himachal Pradesh on March 14, 2024, notified the Himachal Pradesh Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Rules, 2024 further to amend Himachal Pradesh Cooperative Societies Rules, 1971.
The following has been stated: -
•Sub-rule (3) of rule 56 shall be substituted
(3)No Co-operative Society shall employ a salaried officer or servant with total monthly emoluments exceeding rupees fifteen thousand without the previous permission of the Registrar.
•In rule 83A sub-rule (1), for clause (b), the following shall be substituted, namely: -
"a firm of more than one Chartered Accountant within the meaning of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949."
These rules shall come into force from March 15, 2024.
