The Government of Andhra Pradesh on March 15, 2024, implemented a Ban on Marine Fishing in the Territorial Waters along the entire Coast of Andhra Pradesh.
The following has been stated:
• It has prohibited the fishing operations by different Mechanised fishing vessels and those fishing crafts fitted with outboard as well as inboard engines (Motorized fishing boats) excluding the Non-motorized traditional fishing crafts in the territorial waters along the entire coast of Andhra Pradesh during the period from April 15 to June 14, 2024 (both days inclusive) (61 days).
