The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on March 09, 2024, issued the draft regarding the Registration/De-registration of Aircraft.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Registration is done to control the safety of aviation in India, it does not establish the legal ownership of an aircraft.
• The classification of an aircraft has been stated
• The provision of this CAR shall not apply to meteorological pilot balloons used exclusively for meteorological purposes or to unmanned free balloons without a payload.
• Applications are attached to the notification
This is effective from March 09, 2024
