The Housing and Urban Development Department, Tamil Nadu on March 11, 2024, issued the amendments to the Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules, 2019.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Rule 8 which states “Plan Requirements” in sub-rule (5), the following shall be substituted for clause (a), namely: –
“(a) Non High Rise buildings with heights up to 14m. Registered Architect (RA) or Registered Engineer (RE)”
• In rule 9 which states “Inspection”, sub-rule (2) has been substituted to state: -,
“Minimum Stages for recording progress, checking, and issuing continuance certificate (For non-High Rise Buildings above 14m in height)
• In rule 35 which states “Planning Parameters for Non High Rise Buildings”, in sub-rule (1), (a) in clause (a), in the tabular columns have been amended
