The Government of Madhya Pradesh on March 15, 2024, issued the amendment to notification no. F-4E-2/2015/A-XVI dated June 15, 2016 under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Cess Act, 1996.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The following proviso has been inserted namely: -
"Provided that for the purpose of exemption from the cost of building and other construction works, the total amount under the exemption clauses (i) to (xii) shall not exceed the upper limit of the amount shown in the miscellaneous/contingency costs mentioned in the technical sanction of such building and other construction project:
Provided further that the amount of total exemption from the cost of construction shall not exceed, in any case, three percent of the total technical sanction of that building and other construction project.".
• This notification shall be applicable to all works
This shall come into force on March 15, 2024
