The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) on March 15, 2024, issued a notification regarding Mandatory 2 Factor Aadhaar Authentication for CRA System Access from April 01 2024.
Government and Corporate Nodal offices, including PrAO/DTA/PAO/DTO/DDO, will now utilize the Central Recordkeeping Agency (CRA) system for National Pension System (NPS) tasks with enhanced security. Effective from April 1, 2024, 2-Factor Aadhaar-based authentication will be mandatory for all password-based users, bolstering security measures. This additional layer aims to increase security, protect NPS transactions, and safeguard the interests of subscribers and stakeholders. Nodal offices will link their Aadhaar with CRA User IDs to enable 2-Factor Authentication through Aadhaar OTP, enhancing the protection of NPS activities.
