Delhi Govt. notified regarding the renewal of Excise Retail licenses

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Government of Delhi on March 19, 2024, notified regarding the renewal of Excise Retail licenses.

All holders of licenses in the form of L-6/L-6FG and L-10 are required to submit their requests for renewal of licenses commencing w.e.f. April 01, 2024.

The licensee has to apply in ESCIMS for the renewal of the license in the following manner:

• Applicant will click on apply renew for extended licensing period.

• System will display the license detail as per login in a non-editable form.

• User will provide the details against the following non-mandatory fields:

o Original License start date,

o Applicant's e-mail address,

o Applicant Mobile No.

• The user will accept the declaration, and make payment of the fee (as per Rule 154 of Delhi Excise Rules 2010 i.e. Rs. 4 lakhs per vend for L-6 license and Rs. 40,000 for each L-6FG License and Rs. 8 lakhs per vend for L-10 License) and submit.

• Upon successful realization of the fee, the application will be processed by the Department and the licensee will get a digitally signed license online. Realization of fees is sometimes delayed due to the involvement of different banks and banking channels. The department shall not be responsible for any failure of payment. Any delay due to delayed payment shall be the sole responsibility of the licensee. Hence, all licensees should ensure timely payment of license fees.
