The Government of Puducherry on October 06, 2023, issued the “Distribution of a Unit of Milking Machine at 100% subsidy to Farmers/Milk Producers”
The following has been stated namely: -
• It shall extend to the whole of Union territory of Puducherry
• The Objective of the Scheme is: -
o To Save expenses on labour
o To reduce dependency on skilled farm workers
o To enable rearing of larger herd strength
o To promote 3-4 times faster milking than hand milking
o To increase the milk yield.
• The Applicant must be a native or resident of the Union territory of Puducherry which shall be substantiated through UID or Aadhaar Card/Family Ration Card/Electoral Identity Card to be eligible.
This shall come into force on October 06, 2023.
