The Government of Odisha on February 23, 2024, issued a notification regarding the SOP for Registration and Operation of VLT Device, VLTD Manufacture and their Fitment Centre for all the Vehicles as Prescribed under Rule 125H, 129 And 90 Of CMVR 1989 Registered in Odisha.
The following has been stated-
With reference to the SOP LX-67/2022/5245ITC published on 04.04.2023, under clause 17. OPERATIONAL EVALUATION the following sub-clause shall be inserted:
17.9. RE-TEST OF FAILED DEVICES
•In case the device of any manufacturer fails in a test, he can apply for retest. Further even after failing in retest, the applicant may apply again.
•Manufacturer shall book the slot for retest and complete the retest within 30 days from intimation of test result.
•On production of additional four (4) devices, the department shall randomly pick up any two devices.
•Failed device(s) shall not be accepted for retest.
•Re-test shall be conducted as per the operational evaluation procedure laid down in the SOP No. LX-67/2022/5245/TC dated 04.04.2023.
