The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on April 04, 2024, issued the Draft Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Fees and Charges of Regional Load Despatch Centre and other related matters) Regulations, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•Regulation 2 states that these regulations shall be applicable for the determination of fees and charges to be collected by Regional Load Despatch Centres from the generating companies, distribution licensees, bulk consumers, inter-state transmission licensees, buyers, sellers, and inter-state trading licensees, Settlement Nodal Agency (SNA) and any other users.
•Regulation 3 lays down various definitions of the terms like System Operation Function, State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC), and others.
•Chapter 2 of this draft regulations is about general things like registration and functions of RLDC and NLDC.
•Notice is given inviting comments/ suggestions/ objections from the stakeholders and interested persons on the Draft Regulations on or before May 06, 2024. For registered users, the comments/ suggestions/ objections shall also be uploaded through the SAUDAMINI Portal by clicking the eRegulation link on the e-filing Home Page.
