The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on April 04, 2024, issued a notification regarding the re-categorization of industry/organizations/activity as per the directions of CPCB during 2016.
The following has been stated: -
•It is informed that CPCB has issued a direction under section 18 (1) (b) of the Water Act & Air Act, regarding the Harmonization of the classification of industrial sectors & categorized “Tyre Pyrolysis Oil (TPO)"- industries applicable for advance batch automated process/continuous TPO units under 'Orange category' with pollution index 50.
