The State Pollution Control Board, Odisha (OSPCB) on April 04, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Plastic Waste Producer (P), Importer (I), Brand Owners (BO), Plastic Waste Processor engaged in Recycling, Co-processing, Waste to Energy, Waste to Oil & Industrial Composting.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Producers, Importers & Brand Owners (PIBOs) & Plastic Waste Processor (PWPs) are to obtain registration from CPCB/SPCB, Odisha in accordance with the provision of PWM Rules, 2016.
• Those who have not yet applied for registration are required to submit application on the EPR portal of CPCB with immediate effects, otherwise the action as deem fit will be initiated against the defaulters.
