The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on April 04, 2024, notified regarding the Re-categorization of industry/organizations/activity as per the directions of CPCB during 2016.
The following has been stated:
• It has stated that CPCB has issued a direction under section 18 (1) (b) of the Water Act & Air Act, regarding the Harmonization of classification of industrial sectors and categorized "Sand/Riverbed material mining from Riverbed and its floodplains (excluding manual excavation)".
