The Government of Puducherry on April 03, 2024, issued a circular regarding paid holiday on account of the General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•In view of the forthcoming general election to the Lok Sabha on April 19, 2024 (Friday) in the Union Territory of Puducherry, all the electors of the Puducherry, Karaikal, Enam, and Mahe regions are invited to vote under Section 135-B Sub-sections (1) and (2) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
•All factories and shops in the Puducherry region are advised to give holiday with full pay to all workers on election day April 19, 2024 (Friday).
