The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) on April 09, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Amendment to the Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021.
The following has been amended namely, -
• It states that for CCTV cameras, in Sr. No. 41 of the schedule, column (5) shall be inserted which states “Essential Requirement(s) for CCTV as per Annexure”.
• It specifies that CCTV cameras shall conform to the Essential Requirements listed in column (5) within six months from April 09, 2024.
