Industry Specific ComplianceThe University Grants Commission (UGC) on April 26, 2024, issued a notification regarding non-enrolments of foreign nationals in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Programmes as per UGC (ODL Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that Student Visa shall not be issued to foreign nationals sponsored by franchise Educational Institutes running off-campus centres, Study Centres of Open University offering distance learning programmes.

• It specifies that the HEIs recognised/entitled to offer ODL programmes have been directed not to enroll any foreign national in ODL programmes. and only learner residing in India shall be enrolled in ODL programmes.
