The Government of Odisha on December 29, 2023, issued the Odisha Land Reforms (Amendment) Act, 2023, to further amend the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Section 8-A which states “Conversion of agricultural land for purposes other than agriculture” the sub-section (2) has been substituted, namely: ─
“The conversion fees at the rate of one per centum of the market value shall be payable per acre of agricultural land situated at different places of the State, for conversion of its use to any purpose other than agriculture on and after the commencement of the Odisha Land Reforms (Amendment) Act, 2023”
