The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on April 30, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Quantity Freeze Limits for Indices.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It is in reference to circular no. NSE/FAOP/61814 dated April 29, 2024, regarding Quantity freeze for futures & options contracts in F&O, the quantity freeze limits for derivatives contracts on indices shall be applicable w.e.f. May 02, 2024.
• It states the quantity freeze limit as,
o BANKNIFTY - 900
o NIFTY - 1800
o FINNIFTY - 1800
o MIDCPNIFTY - 4200
o NIFTYNXT50 – 600
• It specifies that members shall load the updated contract.gz and NSE_FO_contract_ddmmyyyy.csv.gz files from the faoftp/faocommon directory on the Extranet server or from the website link: https://www.nseindia.com/all-reports-derivatives before trading on the effective date.
