Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on April 30, 2024, issued a notification to amend notification No. 18/2022-Central Excise, dated July 19, 2022, to reduce the Special Additional Excise Duty on the production of Petroleum Crude.

The following amendment has been stated:

In the said notification, in Table, against S. No. 1, for the entry in column (4), the entry “Rs. 8400 per tonne” has been substituted.

This notification shall come into force on May 01, 2024.
