The Government of Kerala on April 29, 2024, issued a notification regarding the reorganization of working hours of workers engaged during the summer.
The following has been stated: -
•Taking into account the situation of sunstroke the workers working in the sun at various places in the State the working hours of the labourers employed within the State were revised from February 17 to April 30, 2024, in the manner given below and prescribing the conditions to be followed by the inspection officers accordingly.
•In view of continuing severe summer conditions in the state and the possibility of heat waves, the advisory order is extended up to May 15, 2024, as per the conditions given below.
