The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoAFW) on April 29, 2024, issued the amendment to the Insecticides Act, 1968.
The following has been amended namely: -
• The following entries have been inserted in the Schedule namely: -
o Camphor - 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-one
o Eugenol - 2-methoxy-4-prop-2-enylphenol
o Citral - (2E)-3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienal
o Thymol - 5-methyl-2-propan-2-ylphenol
o Piperine - (2E,4E)-5-(1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-1-piperidin-1-ylpenta2,4-dien-1-one
o Metarylpicoxamid - (2S,3S)-3-(2-methylphenyl)butan-2-yl N-{[4-methoxy-3-(propanoyloxy)pyridin-2-yl]carbonyl}-L-alaninate
o Methyl Chavicol - 2-(5-methyl-2-propan-2-ylcyclohexyl)-4-prop-2-enylphenol
o Mecoprop-P - (R)-2-(4-chloro-o-tolyloxy)propionic acid
