MoF notified regarding an amendment in an older notification related to Fixation of Tariff Value of Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Areca Nut, Gold and Silver

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on April 30, 2024, notified regarding an amendment in an older notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated August 03, 2001 related to Fixation of Tariff Value of Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Areca Nut, Gold and Silver.

The following has been stated namely: -

• In the older notification TABLE-1, TABLE-2, and TABLE-3, shall be substituted: -

o TABLE 1 states description of goods like Crude Palm Oil, RBD Palm Oil, Crude Palmolein, RBD Palmolein, Crude Soya bean Oil, and Brass Scrap (all grades).

o TABLE 2 states description of goods like Gold, Silver, Medallions  and  silver coins, Gold  bars, and Gold coins.

o TABLE 3 states description of good like Areca nuts.

This shall come into force with effect from May 01, 2024.
