The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on May 03, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Premature redemption under Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) Scheme- Redemption Price for premature redemption due on May 10, 2024 (May 11 and 12 being non-working Saturday and Sunday respectively) (Series I of SGB 2017-18).
The following has been stated namely: -
• The next due date of premature redemption of the above tranche shall be May 10, 2024 (May 11 and 12 being non-working Saturday and Sunday respectively).
• The redemption price for premature redemption due on May 10, 2024 shall be ₹7165/- per unit of SGB based on the simple average of closing gold price for the week i.e. April 29 – May 03, 2024.
