The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on May 06, 2024, issued a notice for seeking stakeholder inputs on the DFC (Draft For Comments) of Indian Telecom Security Assurance Requirements (ITSAR) for 5G Disaggregated RAN gNodeB (CU, DU & RU).
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the testing and certification described in the MTCTE procedure document requires that the equipment shall meet the Essential Requirements (ER), and that the Security Requirement is part of the ER for which the equipment shall be tested and certified.
• It also states that the Security Assurance Standards (SAS) vertical under NCCS shall be responsible for drafting and finalizing ITSARs for communication equipment.
Stakeholders are requested to send their suggestions/comments/inputs on the Draft of ITSAR for 5G Disaggregated RAN gNodeB (CU, DU & RU), to the following e-mail addresses on or before May 24, 2024:-
