The Government of Odisha on May 01, 2024, notified regarding the Eligibility of Enterprises engaged in "Manufacturing of Fortified Rice Kernel" to avail Capital Investment Subsidy (CIS) and other fiscal and non-fiscal incentives under Industrial Promotion Policies of the State Government.
The following has been stated:
• It has been stated that the FRK manufacturing units shall be considered eligible to avail of CIS and other fiscal and non-fiscal incentives under OFPP 2016/OMSMEDP 2016/OFPP 2022/OMSMEDP 2022/IPR 2022.
• It has further stated that it should be kept in mind that manufacturing of FRK might form a subsidiary activity of a Rice Huller/Mill and the said Rice Huller/Mill itself may not be eligible for any CIS benefit. In such case, only the machineries that is exclusively utilized for manufacturing of FRK shall be considered for CIS entitlement.
