The Transport Department, Chandigarh, on April 26, 2024, amended an older notification No. 2/7/210-H-III (7)-2023/7430, dated May 25, 2023, related to the exemption of Tax for Pure EV (Pure Electric Vehicles) and BOV (Battery Operated Vehicles).
The following has been stated: -
• In the notification the words "battery operated vehicles" are substituted to "Pure Electric Vehicle" with effect from the date of issuance of this Notification.
"pure electric vehicle" includes battery-operated vehicles powered by an electric power train only.
