The Government of Telangana on May 02, 2024, issued a notification regarding a holiday due to the election poll.
The authorities mentioned are notified regarding the declaration made by the Government of Telangana, granting a paid holiday on May 13, 2024 (Monday) for all employees and workers in Factories, Shops & Establishments, and Industrial Undertakings / Establishments, on the day of polling.
Further clarification is provided, upon request from NASSCOM through the ITE&C Department, stating that the holiday on polling day applies only to Industrial Undertakings / Establishments working on a shift basis, specifically for the shift during which the poll is conducted (from 7.00 AM to 6.00 PM). This measure aims to facilitate employees' participation in the General Elections to Lok Sabha, 2024, and the Bye-Election to 71-Secunderabad Cantonment (SC) Assembly Constituency.
