The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on May 07, 2024, notified regarding the Changes in the online PAN Verification process for Mutual Fund clients at Registrar & Transfer Agent (RTAs).
The following has been stated namely:-
• This is with reference to the notice no. 20240306-35 dated March 6, 2024, and notice no. 20240429-54 dated April 29, 2024, regarding the ‘Changes in online PAN Verification process for Mutual Fund clients at Registrar & Transfer Agent (RTAs)’.
• It states that Date of Birth(DOB)/Date of Incorporation(DOI) is one of the mandatory fields for verification of the Name of the Client as per IT Database/PAN, and given the same, members shall note that Date of Birth(DOB)/Date of Incorporation(DOI) is mandatory for all the holders in UCC including Guardian in case of Minor Client.
• It mentions that Members shall update DOB/DOI for all the holders in the existing UCC.
This validation shall be made live effective from Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
