The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on May 02, 2024, issued the Telescopic Ball Bearing Drawer Slide (Quality Control) Order, 2024.
This shall come into force on November 08, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It specifies that the Telescopic Ball Bearing Drawer Slide IS : 17954:2023 shall bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau as per Scheme-1 of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
• It states that it shall not apply to micro and small enterprises till May 08, 2025.
• It also states that any person who contravenes the provisions of this order shall be punishable under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
