The Transport Department, NCT of Delhi on February 22, 2024, issued the guidelines for handling end-of-life vehicles in public places in Delhi, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• These Guidelines shall be applicable in the NCT of Delhi
• These guidelines were created for effective implementation of various directions of the Hon'ble National Green Tribunal and for improvement of air quality in Delhi. Further, a large number of junk vehicles are found abandoned on Public Place which needs to be disposed of in an environment-friendly manner.
The guidelines have come into force on February 22, 2023
