Commercial ComplianceThe Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on May 10, 2024, notified regarding the applicability of notification no. 71/2023 related to the enabling provisions for the import of inputs that are subjected to mandatory Quality Control Orders (QCOs) by Advance Authorisation holders, EOU, and SEZ.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that the provisions mentioned in the notification no. 71/2023 related to the enabling provisions for the import of inputs that are subjected to mandatory Quality Control Orders (QCOs) by Advance Authorisation holders, EOU and SEZ, dated March 11, 2023, shall not be applicable retrospectively and the AA issued before March 11, 2024, shall be governed by the provisions as existed at the time of issuance of those AA.

• It specifies that the facility of clubbing of Advance Authorizations issued on and before March 11, 2024, shall not be available.
