In the coming months, the effect of heat and heat stroke will intensify in the district and along with the continuous increase in the temperature of the environment, the production capacity of livestock may be affected due to heat waves and there is a possibility of a loss of livestock due to dehydration, heat stroke, fever, diarrhea and abortion etc. Are. Due to fluctuations in the environment due to untimely rains and hailstorms at many places, there is a possibility of various infectious diseases occurring due to the immunity of animals getting affected.
The animals should be kept in shady areas like under trees or in cattle sheds from 9 am to 6 pm. There should be sufficient airflow in the animal enclosures and adequate space for movement. In case of extreme heat, especially in the enclosures of animals of hybrid breed and high milk production capacity, provide relief by sprinkling water in the afternoon by placing screens on the doors and windows. It is beneficial to bathe buffalo animals in the evening. Animals should be provided with cool, pure and adequate drinking water at least four times a day.
