The Collector & District Magistrate, SPS Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh on May 10, 2024, issued a notification regarding the declaration of a local Holiday on account of the General Elections to Lok Sabha 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•The government has directed that, in case of employees who are ordinarily resident in the area of Assembly Constituency, where poll is on May 13, 2024 (Monday), but having the place of work outside the Constituency area, those electors entitled to the benefit of a paid holiday extended under the Section 135B (1) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, although his/her office does not happen to be closed on that particular day.
•In view of the above, it is declared a local holiday on the day of the Poll i.e. on May 13, 2024 (Monday) in the SPS Nellore district for the Public and Private undertakingtaking/Firms situated in the areas notified for poll to exercise their franchise in connection with General Elections to HOP/APLA, 2024.
