EHS ComplianceThe Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on April 24, 2024, notified regarding the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) under State Business Reforms Action Plan (SBRAP) 2024 – Inclusion of Authorization/Registration in Integrated Consents.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states the list of activities for which the applications for Authorization/Registration as per the Rules applicable shall be e-filled separately: -

o One-time Authorization for Health Care Facilities (HCFs) without in-patient (IP) facilities under The Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016.

o New/Renew Authorization for Solid Waste Management Activities of Local Bodies under The Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.

o Authorization for import/transboundary movement of hazardous and other wastes under The Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016.

o EPR Registration for Producers, Importers, Brand Owners, and Recyclers under The Plastic Waste Management (Amendment) Rules, 2024.

o EPR Registration for Recycler/Re-furbisher under The Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022.

• It specifies that all applications for the Board's clearances viz: Integrated Consent to Establish/Operate, Authorization, Registration, etc. shall be e-filed through the web portal of the Board or CPCB and fee payment shall be made through any of the payment modes specified in the web portal.
