The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on May 13, 2024, notified regarding the Registration of Producers, Importers & Brand-Owners (PIBOs)and Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) on the Centralized Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Portal for Plastic Packaging.
This is in continuation of a Notice dated March 14, 2024, issued by CPCB on the subject as per which all concerned PIBOS & PWPs were required to submit complete Registration applications on the EPR Portal on or before March 31, 2024.
However, the EPR Portal was under updation from March 18 to April 24, 2024, for enhancement of security features. Given the prevalent Force majeure conditions, this is to inform all concerned PIBOS & PWPs that a window until May 31, 2024, is now being provided to enable all concerned PIBOS & PWPs to submit complete Registration applications on the EPR Portal.
