The Government of Puducherry on May 13, 2024, issued a notification regarding the revision of wages for Part Time Casual Labourers.
Consequent to the enhancement of the rate of Dearness Allowance from 46% to 50% in respect of regular Government Employees with effect from January 01, 2024, who are drawing pay as per 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations, the wages of persons employed as Part-Time Casual Labourer(s) in various departments in the U.T. of Puducherry shall stand revised with effect from January 01, 2024, as follows:
•Revision of wages with effect from January 01, 2024, Rs.13,500/-
•Existing Rs.13,140/-
The instructions regarding the engagement of Part-Time casual labourers contained in the office Memorandum No.A.12030/1/98/F3 of the Finance Department, Puducherry should strictly be followed.
