The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on May 13, 2024, notified regarding the Extension in the timeline for filing of Annual Return (AR) by Producers, Importers & Brand owners (PIBOs)/Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) registered during FY 2022-23.
The following has been stated:
• The EPR portal was under updation for enhancement of Security features from January 25-March 03, 2024 and March 18-April 24, 2024. Services of the EPR Portal have been resumed on April 24, 2024.
• The matter has been considered by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and the last date for filing of Annual Return by PIBOs/PWPs registered on the EPR portal for plastic packaging, for the F/Y 2022¬23 has accordingly been extended till May 31, 2024.
• It is to be noted that post May 31, 2024, the Annual Report shall be auto-filed on the Centralized EPR Portal and maximum EC (as per EC Guidelines developed by CPCB) towards the late filing of the Annual Report shall be levied on the registered PIBOs/PWPs. The details of the same are specified in the Table.
