The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on May 15, 2024, issued the Master Circular for Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs).
The following has been stated namely: -
• Various circulars have been issued for effective regulation of Infrastructure Investment Trusts from time to time. The provisions of the circulars issued till May 15, 2024, are available at one place.
• The circulars mentioned in the Appendix to this Master Circular shall stand superseded with the issuance of the Master Circular.
• Terms not defined in this Master Circular shall have the same meaning as provided under the relevant Regulations
• The following has been stated in the Master Circular: -
o Online Filing System for InvITs
o Guidelines for public issue of units of InvITs
o Continuous Disclosure and Compliance by InvITS
o Guidelines for rights Issue of units by a listed InvIT
This Master Circular shall come into force from May 15, 2024.
