The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on May 15, 2024, notified regarding the revision of the price of Isoniazid as per the Annual Wholesale Price Index (WPI) @ 0.00551% increase.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that all the manufacturers of scheduled formulation, selling the branded or generic or both versions of scheduled formulations, shall revise the prices of all such formulations as per the Annual Wholesale Price Index (WPI) @ 0.00551% increase at Rs. 0.73/-.
• It mentions that the manufacturers not complying with the ceiling price and notes specified hereinabove shall be liable to deposit the overcharged amount along with interest thereon under the provisions of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 read with Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
