Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Himachal Pradesh on March 15, 2024, issued amendments in the Punjab Distillery Rules, 1932.

This shall come into force on April 01, 2024.

The following has been amended namely: -

• In the rule 9.5, sub-rule 9.5 (10), which states “The letter of intent for the establishment of Distillery shall be granted subject to payment of Rs. 10,000/- and every extension allowed thereafter shall be subject to payment of Rs.2000/- each” shall be substituted with – 

“The letter of intent for the establishment of Distillery shall be granted subject to payment of Rs.10,00,000/- (Ten Lakh only) and every extension in time allowed thereafter shall be subject to payment of Rs.1,00,000/- (One Lakh only) each”.
