Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on May 15, 2024, issued amendments to an older notification no. 18/2022-Central Excise, dated July 19, 2022, for reducing the Special Additional Excise Duty on the production of Petroleum Crude.

The following amendment has been stated:

• In the Table, against S. No. 1, for the entry in column (4), the entry “Rs. 5700 per tonne” shall be substituted;

This notification will come into force from May 16, 2024.
