The University Grants Commission (UGC) on May 14, 2024, issued a notification regarding clarification on the extension of the date for participation in Orientation/ Refresher Courses in respect of Assistant Registrar under the Career Advancement Scheme.
The following has been stated: -
•It was decided to extend the date for completing Orientation Courses/ Refresher Courses for promotion under CAS up to December 31, 2023, for all the candidates to ensure uniformity. Thus, wherever the requirement of the Orientation Course (OC)/ Refresher Course (RC) has remained incomplete, the promotions would not be held up, but these requirements should be fulfilled by December 31, 2023, or as notified by the Commission from time to time.
