The Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (HPSPCB) on May 14, 2024, issued a Public Notice for Manufacturer, Producer, Refurbisher and Recyclers.
The following has been stated:
• It has stated that the Recyclers shall ensure that the facility and recycling processes are in accordance with the standards or guidelines laid down by the Central Pollution Control Board, and maintain a record of e-waste collected, dismantled, recycled and sent to registered recyclers on the portal.
• It has stated that all Producers under E-Waste Management Rules, 2022, are required to fulfill their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations assigned to them through online purchase of EPR Certificates from registered Recyclers only.
• It has stated that all the Producers, Manufacturers, Refurbisher and Recycler shall file annual and quarterly returns in the laid down form on the portal on or before the end of the month succeeding the quarter or year, as the case may be, to which the return relates.
