The Government of Bihar on March 15, 2024, issued the Bihar Wood Sawing (Regulation) (Amendment) Rules, 2024, to further amend the Bihar Wood Sawing (Regulation) Rules, 1993.
The following amendment has been stated:
• It has stated that Rule 6(2), which states “Renewal of the licence”, is substituted by the following:
o 6 (2). "The application fee for renewal of license for sawmill saw pit, veneer mill and plywood pasting unit shall be rupees 10,000/-, 1000/-, 20,000/- and 25000/- respectively."
• It has stated that After Rule 6 (5) (a), which states “Renewal of the licence”, the following provision is inserted:
o 6 (6). "if required then the State Government may, by notification, revise the amount of renewal fee of the license under this rule.”
This Notification will come into force from March 15, 2024.
