The Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board (MSPCB) on January 2024, notified regarding the processing fees to be levied on applications for Authorization/Registration under Six (6) Waste Management Rules.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states the processing fee for industries applying for Authorization under Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, regarding the Generation and Storage of Hazardous and other wastes.
• It states the processing fee for industries applying for Authorization under Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 to industries/institutions/agencies involved in other forms of handling of hazardous and other wastes.
• It states the processing fee for Authorization under E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016.
• It states the Processing fee for Authorization under Bio-Medical Waste (Management) Rules, 2016.
• It states the fee structure for producers and brand owners for registration under Plastic Waste (Management) Rules, 2016.
• It states the fee structure for manufacturers and recyclers for registration under the Plastic Waste (Management) Rules, 2016.
• It states the processing fee for Authorization for an integrated solid waste management facility under Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.
This shall come into effect from February 01, 2024.
