The Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) on May 13, 2024, notified regarding the Water Purification System (Regulation of Use) Rules, 2023.
The following has been stated:
• It has stated the responsibilities of the manufacturer and user of domestic water purification systems, commercial purification systems, Bureau of Indian Standard and water supply agencies (local bodies, Public Health Engineering Department, Jal Nigam, Municipal Corporation, Jal Board, Municipalities, private and public sector agencies engaged in potable water supply) and State Pollution Control Boards have been notified in the subject cited Rules and same may please be seen in the said notification.
• It has been directed to ask you to persuade with the user and manufacturer of the commercial water purification system to obtain consent and authorization/registration from CPCB/SPCB as the case may be.
• The said notification shall come into force on the expiry of 1 year from November 10, 2023.
