The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) on May 16, 2024, issued the notification regarding the United Nations Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sales of Ship.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Reference is drawn to the United Nations Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sales of Ship (attached to the notification), which was adopted on December 07, 2022.
• India intends to become a party to this Convention. Hence, consultation comments of the stakeholders are solicited. It is requested to send the comments/inputs by May 30, 2024.
